LASSO

The exerciser is working on a tight and painful right shoulder joint. He grasps each end of an exercise band. With his left hand he locks one end of the band to his abdomen while he performs a backstroke motion with his right arm while holding the other end of the band securely in his right hand. After 10 repetitions with his right arms below shoulder height he raises that arm so that he is at shoulder height for another 10 repetitions. The exerciser continues to elevate the right shoulder in small increments while performing the 10 backstroke circles at each elevation until maximum arm elevation is reached or until the elevation is limited by pain. The exercise is performed 2 to 4 times per day.
